Camping out in Black Friday lines not your idea of holiday family time? We don't blame you. Because, here in the cozy Christmas village of Chesaning, we celebrate a different kind of holiday season - one that's timeless, traditional, and best enjoyed together with the ones you love most.

So, after you've gathered ‘round the table to enjoy your Thanksgiving bird and berry relish, slip on your cozy sweaters and scarves and get to Downtown Chesaning, where the Chesaning Christmas Candlelight Walk (November 24-25, 2017) transforms our charming boulevard into an all-out winter wonderland positively bursting with holiday cheer!

Along The Festive Boulevard

W. Broad Street, Downtown Chesaning

Picture this: softly-lit luminaries lining the boulevard, live Christmas music spreading cheer through the streets, and nothing but the smells (and tastes!) of warm, roasted chestnuts and freshly-baked gingerbread houses filling the air. It's all here along the festive boulevard when our village is transformed into a cozy, Christmas dream-come-true during the annual Chesaning Christmas Candelight Walk. Be here November 24-25, when a tree lighting ceremony in the center of town and the cheerful, village-wide "O, Christmas Tree" sing-a-long that comes with are just the beginning of the warm, festive fuzzies you'll feel here.

On A Horse Drawn Carriage

W. Broad Street, Downtown Chesaning

Free Horse-drawn Carriage Rides

Get back to the joys of simpler times as soon as you climb inside our festive sleigh for a free, horse-drawn carriage ride along the boulevard, all-aglow with the warmth and welcome of a true Christmas village. The trot through town is free, but the sights you'll see while sipping hot cocoa and snacking on fresh-roasted chestnuts make the experience priceless. (Hint: keep your eyes open for the nativity scenes you'll spot all along the boulevard, if you can peel them away from the dazzling light displays!)

At The Public House

130 N. Saginaw Street, Downtown Chesaning

Festival of Trees

While you're here in Chesaning, think of The Public House as your hub for all things Christmas Candlelight Walk! The former Peet Community Center turned Public House is the site of some of the event's annual favorites, like the Festival of Trees, visits with Santa, Historical Society Bake Sale, live music by the Jordan River Band, and even the Candle Crawl Pub Event! Here, the festivities start as soon as noon, when the Festival Of Trees opens its doors for spirited holiday tree shopping, and continues long into the night with Broad Street Events' Candle Crawl Pub Event, benefiting a local Chesaning charity.

Inside First Church of the Nazarene

625 W. Broad Street, Downtown Chesaning

Warm your toes and wow your little ones with a whole new kind of Christmas magic inside Chesaning First Church of the Nazarene. Here, your little elves will love the cookie decorating and kids' activities, a family-friendly magic show by Paul Martin, and the classic Jim Gengler Holiday Jam (Friday only).

Throughout Santa's Village

11300 Peet Road, Chesaning

While you're here for the Chesaning Christmas Candlelight Walk this November, be sure to swing out to Santa's Village at North Pole USA, where the kiddos can experience another winter wonderland all its own. Here, our Saginaw County Fairgrounds are transformed into an all-out explosion of Christmas spirit, filled with 25,000 square feet of holiday wonder and warmth.

See more than 175 lighted Christmas trees, watch an amazing model train whir along the tracks, take a Christmas-themed carnival ride, or let your little ones try their hand at some holiday crafts. No matter which way you choose to explore our festive fairgrounds inside Santa's Village, be sure to sample the delicious food, shop from the on-site holiday vendors, and, of course, pay a visit to Santa before you go!
