Great Lakes Bay Getaway (3 night / 4 day)

Day 1:

  • Climb aboard your coach and travel to Frankenmuth.
  • Enjoy a guided City Tour of Frankenmuth, where you will learn the history of this quaint town with strong German roots
  • Visit the world's largest Christmas store, Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, where you are sure to find unique trimmings and holiday collections
  • Enjoy a dinner at the Frankenmuth Restaurant of your choice
  • Following dinner, be sure to enjoy some of the shopping at Frankenmuth River Place and along Main Street.
  • Check-in to the Great Lakes Bay Region hotel of your choice for the evening.

Day 2:

  • Breakfast at your hotel
  • Travel to the Birch Run Premium Outlets, featuring more than 140 brand-name outlets and stores. This is the largest outlet mall in the Midwest.
  • Venture to Midland and enjoy lunch at the restaurant or location of your choice
  • Tour the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio, followed by a stop at the Midland Center for the Arts.
  • Travel to Bay City, where the group will enjoy a state of the art 360 degree experience at the Delta College Planetarium & Learning Center
  • Dinner at the restaurant of your choice
  • Return to your hotel

Day 3:

  • Breakfast at your hotel or restaurant of your choice
  • Embark on an informative Guided City Tour displaying the fine architecture of Bay City's former glory days, along with a complete historical narration.
  •  Enjoy some shopping time in the historic downtown area of Bay City, where you will be greeted by Michigan's largest antique mall, the century old St. Laurent Brothers Nut House, and dozens of unique shops.
  • Travel to Saginaw where you will be greeted by the historic Temple Theatre, a 1927 Vaudeville era theatre that has been restored to its former grandeur. Enjoy a behind the scenes tour, Barton pipe organ accompaniment, silent film viewing, and a catered lunch on the stage.
  • Visit the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
  • Finally, travel to Frankenmuth one last time for a tour of Michigan's own Military & Space Museum and dinner at the Frankenmuth restaurant of your choice.
  • Return to your hotel

Day 4:

  • Breakfast at your hotel or restaurant of your choice
  • Check-out of your hotel
  • Depart the Great Lakes Bay Region for your next destination.

  • Travel to Midland and enjoy a catered lunch at the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio followed by a guided tour of this beautiful example of fine architecture.
  • Finally, visit historic downtown Bay City for a guided City Tour tailored to the needs and interests of your group, followed by a visit to the historic downtown shopping area featuring Michigan's largest antique mall and dozens of unique shops. Don't forget to be on the look out for the cargo freighters and private watercraft that travel the Saginaw River seasonally through downtown Bay City
  • Depart the Great Lakes Bay Region for your next destination.

Winter Wonderland: 2 Night / 3 Day

  • Spend the afternoon at Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland and shopping downtown at Frankenmuth River Place and along Main Street. Don't forget to make a stop at the Midwest's Largest Outlet Mall: Birch Run Premium Outlets
  • Check-in at Great Lakes Bay Region hotel of your choice
  • Dinner at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth Restaurant
  • After Dinner, enjoy a holiday light tour though Frankenmuth
  • Return to hotel

Day 2:

  • Breakfast at your hotel
  • Tour the Temple Theatre in Saginaw, a gem from the Vaudeville era
  • Tour the Castle Museum and marvel at the beautiful holiday decorations mingled with the history of Saginaw County.
  • Travel to the Alden B. Dow Home in Midland, decorated for holidays. Enjoy a catered lunch at the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio, followed by a tour.
  • Afternoon stop at The Santa House in Midland, where if you look close enough you may find Santa.
  • Dinner in Bay City at the restaurant of your choice.
  • Guided City Tour down Center Ave. & Evening Light Tour along the River in Veteran's Park
  • Return to hotel

Day 3:

  • Breakfast
  • Holiday shopping in Downtown Bay City
  • Holiday Themed Show at the Delta College Planetarium
  • Depart Great Lakes Bay Region

  • Arrive in Bay City
  • Enjoy a Narrated Step-On Guided City Tour of Bay City (your tour can be customized based on desire for history, legends, hauntings, lore, etc.)
  • Take in some shopping in the downtown historic district of Bay City. Visit Michigan's largest antique mall located right downtown. Also, be sure to visit the famous St. Laurent Brother's Nut House, and dozens of unique boutique-style stores.
  • Climb aboard an Appledore Tall-Ship Cruise with a catered lunch or sit back and enjoy a Van Buren Street Dinner Theatre lunch production
  • Visit the Delta College Planetarium & Learning Center to see their featured show or one of your choosing
  • Depart Bay City

All Frankenmuth, All Day! (Day Trip)
