Butterflies in Bloom — CANCELED — (March - April, Midland) See thousands of brilliantly colored butterflies from countries across the globe — emerging, feeding, and flying inside Dow Gardens' tropical conservatory — and maybe get one to land on your hand, if you're lucky!
St. Patrick's Day Parade — CANCELED — (March, Bay City) A 66-year tradition, Irish and Irish-at-heart celebrate — decked out in head-to-toe green — at this festive parade with pipe bands, marching bands, and more than 100 floats.
Bavarian Easter Celebration (March - April, Frankenmuth) See Frankenmuth spring to life with colorful egg displays and decorations throughout town as Michigan's Little Bavaria embraces the over-200-year German tradition known as "Osterbrunnen".
Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour — CANCELED — (April, Midland) Join Chippewa Nature Center as they host a special stop on the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, where you'll have the chance to see some of the best mountain films from the prior year's festival.
Bringin' Back the 80s Festival — CANCELED — (April, Frankenmuth) Break out your leg warmers and blast some Aqua Net® in that hair! Live cover bands, 80s memorabilia, retro gaming stations, and a best-dressed contest let the trends we loved (and a few we'd rather forget) live on forever at this known-to-sell-out-fast 80s festival in Frankenmuth!
Zehnder's Ragtime Festival — RESCHEDULED FOR JULY — (April, Frankenmuth) See world-renowned ragtime musicians from around the U.S. and Canada perform at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth (over breakfast, lunch, or dinner!) when this musical treat returns for its 26th year.
Freeland Walleye Festival — CANCELED — (April, Freeland) Walleye fishing tournament, town-wide rummage sales, and a beer tent with live entertainment — plus a car show, poker tournament, parade, and fireworks — with carnival rides all weekend!
Rebel Magnolia Spring Flea — POSTPONED; NEW DATES TBD — (May, Saginaw) One of the top 100 outdoor flea markets in the country (Flea Market Style Magazine) and a free-spirited, festival-style market filled with tents and shoppable vintage campers. Browse curated finds from 100+ hand-selected vendors — including vintage, boutique, bohemian, handmade, and gathered items — and enjoy the lineup of local food trucks, too!
Frankenmuth Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival — MAY DATES CANCELED; RETURNS JUNE-SEPTEMBER — (May - September, Frankenmuth) 4th annual Frankenmuth food truck festival, held the second Thursday of each month — May to September — at Frankenmuth River Place Shops. Sample from 20+ food trucks per event, and enjoy your street eats under the massive tents with seating for over 1,000. The kids will love the on-site play village, and the adults? How about Battle of the Breweries tap takeovers to wash down that food truck fare!
World Expo of Beer — RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER — (May, Frankenmuth) Michigan's largest beer sampling event, bringing over 350 brews from around the world to your souvenir sampling mug — with a 1Beer1K Fun Run & Happy Hour that gets you early access to it all!
Balloons Over Bavarian Inn — RESCHEDULED FOR AUGUST — (May, Frankenmuth) See hot air balloons float over Frankenmuth all throughout Memorial Day Weekend, with early morning and evening flights, plus three Hot Air Balloon Glows where you can meet the pilots and crew!
Frankenmuth Dog Bowl — RESCHEDULED FOR AUGUST — (May, Frankenmuth) The world's largest Olympic-style festival for dogs! This free fun fest includes 29 dog events (22 your pet can participate in!) for a Memorial Day Weekend the whole family will love! Don't miss the DockDogs® and Disc Dogs competitions, pet parade, canine costume contest, and doggie fun runs — or the Annual Canine Cruise of the Bavarian Belle Riverboat!
Michigan Antique Festival — MAY DATES CANCELED; RETURNS IN SEPTEMBER — (May, Midland) Michigan's largest antique festival and a tradition for over 50 years! See 1,000+ quality vintage, antique, and collectible dealers sprawled out across 80 acres of fairgrounds, and enjoy Michigan's largest swap meet and one of its longest-running classic car shows!
