The Bay County Community Center has been a cornerstone of recreation and community connection for generations. Originally developed through a partnership between the State of Michigan, the City of Bay City, and Bay County, the facility is now proudly operated by Bay County and serves as a vibrant hub for residents of all ages.
Whether you're looking to stay active, host an event, or connect with your community, the Community Center has something for everyone. Our recreational facilities provide the perfect setting for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and a variety of other team sports. We also feature a fully equipped fitness center with affordable membership options, making it easy to achieve your health and wellness goals. To complement your fitness journey, a variety of instructor-led fitness classes are offered throughout the year.
Planning a special event? Our versatile facilities can accommodate everything from wedding and baby showers to trade shows, card tournaments, business meetings, and community gatherings. The multi-purpose gymnasium offers a spacious setting for athletic activities and large events, while our meeting rooms can host groups ranging from small gatherings to events of up to 240 guests.
The future is even brighter at the Community Center! Our swimming pool is currently undergoing a complete transformation and is scheduled to reopen in June 2027. The exciting new aquatic facility will feature a competitive lap pool, a family-friendly zero-entry splash area, two thrilling water slides, an adventure zip line, and an interactive rock-climbing wall. This state-of-the-art destination will provide endless opportunities for fun, fitness, and family memories for residents of Bay County and visitors from surrounding communities.

Various room sizes are available for all occasions. Including showers, parties, classes, business meetings and more. Room rates are hourly.
