This year’s event features a NU-opoly theme, a creative twist on the classic game that celebrates Northwood’s entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and community. Enjoy an evening of dinner, networking, and tradition as we honor the people and values that make Northwood exceptional. For over half a century, the Stafford Dinner has stood as a longstanding, cherished tradition that celebrates Northwood University's commitment to experiential learning and the remarkable achievements of our hospitality students. This unique event showcases something remarkable in hospitality education: our students take on the extraordinary challenge of planning, cooking, and executing an elegant multi-course dinner entirely through their own dedication and emerging skills, with guidance from trained professionals. Starting from a zero-base budget each year, this event represents the culmination of nearly twelve months of intensive work by our talented students. They handle every aspect—from developing the theme and crafting the menu using raw ingredients in our kitchen, to marketing, fundraising, logistics, and event execution. It's an unparalleled hands-on experience that prepares them for successful careers in hospitality, tourism, and event management.
