Program: Ryan Baker will present A Collective Effort: Bridgeport Archaeology
Join us on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m. to get a sneak peek at the Castle Museum’s upcoming exhibit – A Collective Effort: Bridgeport Archaeology. We will discuss the history of archaeology in Bridgeport, including the region’s earliest archaeologists, contributions made by the Saginaw Valley chapter of the Michigan Archaeological Society, and university excavations. The history of Bridgeport archaeology demonstrates that professional and avocational archaeologists work together to preserve and share the past. This teamwork shows us that everyone has a role to play in protecting the material culture and memory of their communities.
