Capturing the Soul: Portraits by Jody McDonald Rider
This evocative exhibition invites viewers to go beyond the surface and step into the spirit of the subject. With every brushstroke, Jody creates visual biographies—intimate, expressive portraits that capture more than just a likeness. Using form, value, and light, her work tells deeply personal stories, revealing the energy, essence, and soul of each individual. Rather than simply seeing a painting, you feel as if you're meeting someone for the first time.
The exhibition will be on display May 15th through July 14th at the Andersen Enrichment Center, located across from Ojibway Island in Saginaw.
Visitors can explore the collection during gallery hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
