Indigenous Flair by Marcella Hadden

Indigenous flair is a collection of culturally significant items with a colorful filter added for interest. At first glance you may not know what you are looking at as the filters can distract the eye. A traditional dancer or a simple bowl of strawberries are both culturally significant. The filter can actually make part of the subject look like it’s glowing. Some subjects are full frame and some are close ups. Native dance regalia is very colorful and an action shot that captures the dancer in full swing can be visually pleasing to the eye.

The exhibition will be on display July 16th through September 16th at the Andersen Enrichment Center, located across from Ojibway Island in Saginaw.
Visitors can explore the collection during gallery hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
