First Annual Bay City Freezefest

Drift Shoreside Beer Garden and Downtown Bay City invite the community to the first annual Winter Party of the Year, a full day of fun designed to bring everyone out during the winter season. Families, friends, neighbors, and even dogs are welcome. Gloves are strongly encouraged.

Drift opens at 11 a.m. with drinks and entertainment throughout the day. Jodi K from 94.5 The Moose will be live broadcasting during the event.

From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., enjoy brewery sampling in the parking lot featuring Bell’s, New Belgium, North Peak, Ciderboys, Cigar City, Perrin, Grand Armory, Tri City, Rhinegeist, Old Nation, and High Noon. Food trucks will also be on site during that time, including Smashed Burgers, 5-2-Oh Food Truck, and What About Waffles!?

Schedule of Events

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Downtown Bay City Chili Cook-Off featuring eight local restaurants.

Noon to 3 p.m.
“Frozen” Snowman Competition with Bay City Mayor Christopher Girard as honorary judge. Studio 23 will pair eight artists for a live art challenge to bring the snowmen to life.

2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
First Annual Freezefest Showdown Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by Monster Brewing. Entry is $20 per team and includes two drink tickets. Winners receive bragging rights and a surprise prize. Pre-registration and details available at tavernpappas@gmail.com
Teams will pay the day of the event.

3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Fire performer shows featuring one-hour displays of flames, tricks, and high-energy performances.

4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Live music with Andy Braun inside Drift.

9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
After Party with DJ Vinni.
