Lunchtime Walking Tour: Fred W. Hollister: Architect

Details

The Castle Museum's Chief Historian and Vice President Tom Trombley is taking to the street for another lunchtime walking tour. On July 30, starting at 11:30 a.m. guests can meet Tom at Borchard Park on the northwest corner of Court and Michigan. Here he will begin a tour of the Saginaw County Courthouse block, discussing the work of Fred W. Hollister who designed the 1884 Saginaw County Courthouse. The tour will begin promptly at 11:30 and will last about 45 minutes. This tour will cover about 1/2 mile on city sidewalks with the focus being on the structure's exteriors--we will not be going inside the buildings. No registration is required.

Guests are encouraged to visit the Castle Museum's corresponding exhbit, Order in the Court, before or after the tour for more information on the courthouses.
