A class to gently encourage and support ourselves to explore our ways of moving and to allow our innate and natural poise to emerge. We shall play and work with everyday movement and movement beyond the everyday. Drawing on inspirations from the Alexander technique, literature, music, nature, and ourselves we will explore silence, stillness, fast, slow, heavy, light, doing, non-doing, different rhythms, mood and movement, easing into dancing our inner and outer landscapes.
Deirdre studied Theatre and English at California Lutheran University where she was introduced to the Alexander Technique, a way of working with yourself. The emphasis of this class will be on reclaiming, encouraging and nurturing ourselves in stillness and movement. She received her certification at the Alexander Teacher Training Center Oxford, UK.
