Kalamazoo Ringers to Present “Seasons” Tour Across Michigan and Ohio under the Direction of Martha Matthews.
The Kalamazoo Ringers will present “Seasons,” a dynamic handbell concert tour celebrating the changing rhythms of the year, April 23–26 and May 16, 2026.
The ensemble will perform in communities across Michigan and Ohio, bringing the beauty and artistry of handbell music to audiences throughout the region.
The program explores musical reflections of spring’s renewal, summer’s warmth, autumn’s brilliance, and winter’s quiet beauty. Featuring an impressive seven octaves of handbells and six octaves of handchimes, the ensemble creates a rich, symphonic sound that is both visually captivating and musically expressive.
Under the direction of Martha Matthews, the Kalamazoo Ringers continue their tradition of musical excellence and engaging performance. "‘Seasons’ reflects the cycles we all experience throughout the year,” said Matthews. “With seven octaves of bells and six octaves of chimes, we’re able to create everything from delicate, shimmering textures to powerful, symphonic moments.”
