This informational workshop and tree planting activity is a free event that educates participants about proper tree care and planting techniques. Attendees will gain hands-on knowledge that they can directly apply in their own backyards!

Led by Little Forks Conservancy staff and the local Clare and Gladwin Conservation District Forester, Mike Dittenber, the event includes planting trees at the Three Ponds nature preserve.

What to Bring:
Attendees should dress accordingly for walking and working outdoors. Closed toed shoes are required and long pants are recommended. If available, attendees can bring shovels and gloves for tree planting, but the Little Forks Conservancy will provide needed tools as well.

Parking & Directions:
Volunteers will meet at the preserve parking lot, located east of Midland on West N. Union Rd. across from the Perry Creek Townhomes, just east of the US-10 overpass. A LFC staff member will be waiting at the parking lot to direct volunteers. For Google Maps directions, visit the link here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8P2yxpJhAHQSPpr68.
