Visitors are welcome to explore the galleries on their own or take a scavenger hunt (designed for all ages) through the Museum. Tours are offered year-round of the Museum and City Hall. The walking tours, Hell's Half Mile & Downtown Bay City Architecture Walking Tour, are offered from May through October. There is something for everyone at the Museum, including Playgroups, Storytimes, Member's Only Night, and Second Saturday Lecture Series. The Butterfield Memorial Research Library is open Monday to Friday from 12 - 4 PM. It is a non-circulating reference and research library with topics relating primarily to Bay County history. However, staff can help with searches spanning the United States.
