Built in the French chateau style in 1898, the Castle Building originally served as the Saginaw post office. Now home to the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, the Castle features more than 28,000 square feet of exhibit space over three floors with numerous displays on Saginaw County history, archaeology, lumbering and automotive manufacturing.
In addition, the museum showcases an ever-changing variety of traveling and temporary exhibits as well as special events and programs which are open to the public. Unique museum and Saginaw souvenirs are also available in our gift shop.
The museum is open seven days a week and includes an ADA accessible entrance, interior elevator and ADA parking from the rear lot off Warren Avenue. Street parking is also available.

M-W: 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Thurs.: 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
F-Sat: 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1-4:30 p.m.
*Last Admission 15 minutes prior to close.
-Admission to the Museum is FREE for Saginaw County residents.
-All others: $3/person, $5/Family, or $2 for those 65 and older.
The Castle Museum is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. In addition, the Museum closes at noon on Christmas Eve Day and New Year’s Eve Day. Special closures will be noted on our website: castlemuseum.org or social media @TheCastleMuseum.
