Saginaw Valley State University is home to some of the best sports venues in the Great Lakes Bay Region! The SVSU Fieldhouse is a brand new facility that is one of two like it at the NCAA Division II level. It features an 85 yard football field with field turf surface, a 300 meter indoor track, bleachers that seat up to 1000 spectators, four full batting cages for baseball and softball training, a timing booth for indoor events, as well as a golf practice facility. The Gerstacker Regional Aquatic Center features an eight-lane, 50-meter pool with a new Daktronics timing system that displays results to a full color message board. The deep end of the pool features a diving area that consists of two 1-meter boards and a 3-meter board. Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium is home to SVSU Football and offers a state of the art Desso Turf surface, one of only four such surfaces in NCAA College Football. In addition to the synthetic turf, Wickes Stadium features Musco Lighting and a Daktronics Video board. The official seating capacity of Wickes Stadium is 6,800. James E. O'neill Arena is home to the SVSU Men's and Women's Basketball and features a newly renovated 60,000 square foot facility with the main court, two wooden side courts, and all new Daktronics scoreboards were added as part of the project as well. The seating capacity was decreased to 3,500, which makes for a more intimate atmosphere during game day. Cardinal Gymnasium is home to SVSU Volleyball. It offers 10,000 sq. ft. facility with a seating capacity of 616. Cardinal Gym has a competition floor, two practice courts and also serves as an additional practice gym for the basketball programs, with six retractable hoops Ted B. Morley Outdoor Track & Field is a nine-lane 400-meter Beynon surface track. The field also includes five throwing areas, two pole vault pits and two high jump pits. Morley Field has an official seating capacity of 664. Robert C. Braddock Field is home to the Men’s and Women’s Cardinal Soccer programs. The 270-seat complex features a natural grass playing surface that is 115 yards x 73 yards. The field also includes team shelters and a Daktronics scoreboard. SVSU Baseball Complex is 332’ down each line and 396’ in center field. The field of play has a natural grass infield along with natural grass outfield. The baseball complex provides stadium seating for 346. SVSU Softball Complex has a skinned clay infield with natural grass outfield. The stadium is 202’ down each line and 222’ in center field. Cardinal fans enjoy permanent stadium seating for 190 with an additional 140 temporary seats along the third base line. SVSU Tennis Complex offers a newly added Deco surface and a new 150 seat center seating area where spectators can see all six courts. Three of the six courts have lighting for night tennis! SVSU also offers racquetball courts, a dance studio, a movement room, and practice fields to fulfill all of your athletic and sports venue needs!
