Details

The primary goal of the DDA is to improve the quality of life in the district through proper planning and desirable public improvements. We work closely with the Village of St. Charles to accomplish our goals. We have 3 parks for residents and visitors to enjoy. Our largest park is Coal Miners' Park at 200 Parkway. It has play equipment, a dog park, 18 hole disc golf course, 3 baseball fields, basketball and volleyball courts along a 1 mile paved walking trail. It is also home to the St. Charles Farmers' Marketplace and concerts in the gazebo during summer. Also available are two covered pavilions holding either 100 people or 40. Lumberjack Park is next to the Bad River at the beginning of the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail. There is play equipment, a fountain and pavilion for up to 40 people. Waterfowl Park was recently remodeled and a perfect place to get outdoors, enjoy nature and take pictures. There is a small stream leading down to the Bad River, where you find the DNR Boat Launch and can try out your fishing skills.
