  • Enjoy a free guided History Tour on the Saginaw River this week! The tour is offered Monday through Friday, once daily, departing at 10 a.m and returning at 12 p.m. Narrators provide insight into the origins of industries and natural resources along the river which gave birth to present day Bay City, Essexville and their surrounding townships and cities.

Two routes are offered. Monday, Wednesday and Friday we follow the northern route downriver our dock on the Middlegrounds Island through the heart of Bay City, past the floating museum USS Edson (located north of the M-15 Independence Bridge) and back.

On Tuesday and Thursday, the Islander departs the Middlegrounds Island heading upriver past the south end of Bay City, the James Clements airport and alongside River Road (M-84) with natural scenery and interesting stories.

Tours are free to the public all week through a partnership with Krzysiak House Restaurant and Bay City Boat Lines. Reservations highly recommended, offered online only at beginning July 6.

Limit of 4 tickets per party/household.
