This exhibition brings together three artists whose very different approaches invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and consider the tension, beauty, and meaning found in both art and everyday life.

Miguel Ángel Valdivia Ramos is a multidisciplinary artist whose drawings explore the complexities of loneliness through a simple yet deeply personal visual perspective. His work examines the fragile space where opposites meet—the tender and the grotesque, the amusing and the intimidating, the mystical and the banal. Valdivia is drawn to the nuances between light and shadow, right and wrong, joy and sorrow. Beneath the strength and control of his images are quieter themes of fear, vulnerability, and the absurdity of being alive.

Painter Matt Lewis presents works from his Being Time series. Deceptively simple at first glance, the paintings reveal themselves gradually, rewarding attention and contemplation. Lewis describes the works as a way to transcend the distractions of daily life and bring the viewer fully into the present moment. They are dynamic records of time; present in the past, present in the present, and present in the future. They exist out of time as Time Being.

The exhibition also features sculptures by Rob Webb, who works in metal, glass, and wood. Following a long and successful career in metal fabrication, Webb has turned his expertise toward exploring metal as a creative medium. He embraces the physical challenge of transforming an idea into form, from pouring molten steel and forging cherry-red metal to texturing welds and creating dimensional surfaces. His large abstract sculptures often incorporate stainless steel, Corten steel, and powder-coated finishes. Through his work, Webb seeks to reveal the beauty and strength inherent in these materials.

Together, the three artists offer distinctly different perspectives on the experience of being human—exploring time, tension, solitude, reflection, and the unexpected beauty that emerges through the creative process. Art L to R – Webb, Lewis, Valdivia.
