State of Michigan Government Travel and Meetings Q&A

Presenter: Jamie Matthews, State of MI, DTMB Office of Support Services

There are many rules and regulations that govern official government travel. Government planners must keep up with the current per diem rates, new rules about government travel, and streamline the government meeting in terms of travel costs. This session will review government travel and state of Michigan meeting guidelines and educate hospitality partners in how to best work together with staff from the state of Michigan. It will allow hospitality partners understand how government planners can apply for travel expense exceptions above and beyond current per diem rates which will open up more opportunities to accommodate government groups. There will be plenty of time for Q&A so be sure to bring all your questions related to government travel and per diem pricing.
