New for August 2020 enjoy a scenic cruise with our Afternoon River Floats, a guided History Tour on the Saginaw River! The tour is offered (Rain or Shine) weekly on Thursday and Friday, once daily, departing at 1:00 p.m. and returning at 3:30 p.m.
Narrators provide insight into the origins of industries and natural resources along the river which gave birth to present day Bay City, Essexville and their surrounding townships and cities.
Two routes are offered.
Thursday, we depart the Middlegrounds Island heading upriver (south) past the south end of Bay City, the James Clements airport and alongside River Road (M-84) with natural scenery and interesting stories to the Zilwaukee Bridge area.
Friday, we follow the northern route downriver (north) from our dock on the Middlegrounds Island through the heart of Bay City, past the floating museum USS Edson (located north of the M-15 Independence Bridge) and the Saginaw River Rear Range Lighthouse.
